Hi,

I just created this blog to show how easy it is. Now you can find out more about the United Arab Emirates by coming to this link. I'm posting some information here on how you can find maps of the UAE.

This seems to be a nice site for maps. There's a section on the UAE here: http://worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/asia/ae.htm. There are links to other UAE maps and information on the country. What I think you might like about this page is that it shows where the UAE is in relation to other countries in the region.

A topographical map showing mountains on our east coast and roads leading through them: http://www.mideastweb.org/muae.htm. There's political commentary here which I find quite interesting but you can ignore that if you want.

The road network of the UAE is shown in more detail on the Lonely Planet map: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/mapshells/middle_east/united_arab_emirates/united_arab_emirates.htm. It takes me about 3.5 hours to drive from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and over to Khor Fakkan on the east coast (for diving). I also go often to Al Ain for hiking. The roads are also shown on this map: http://www.theemiratesnetwork.com/uae/maps1.htm

This map gives a little better perspective on the country: http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/cia03/united_arab_emirates_sm03.gif
